June 19th

Cafe in the Park on Wednesday, June 19th in Galesburg. Bring or join your friends, co-workers and family at Park Plaza every Wednesday. Chance to Spin the Wheel for money and prizes at 11:45 & 12:15. June 20th

The Orpheum Theatre continues its summer movie series on Thursday, June 20th with Throwback Thursdays.  The Orpheum in Galesburg will present the 1976 train classic Silver Streak starring Gene Wilder and Richard Pryor  at 2pm and 7pm. Storytime at the Warren County Public Library on Thursday, June 20th from 10 to 11am. Story time at the Library is for babies, toddlers, and preschool children. This weeks theme: Stories from the Americas!

Azer Clinic presents the American Red Cross of Western IL's annual Beer Tasting and Silent Auction Fundraiser. Thursday, June 20, 5pm – 7p at 200 North Linwood Drive Galesburg, IL 61401. Hosted by G&M Distributors- featuring a wide selection of beer for sampling, a silent auction, and appetizers. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased at the door or by calling 309 344-1611. All proceeds stay local to benefit disaster relief and readiness efforts.

June 21st

Monmouth Farmers Market returns to Monmouth on Friday, June 21st from 7am – 12pm in the First State Bank's parking lot in Monmouth. Fresh fruits, vegetables, baked goods, honey, and plants are available from local vendors-please stop by. We are celebrating our 11th year of the Farmers Market!

June 22nd

Monmouth Pottery on the Square will take place Saturday, June 22nd from  8am – 12pm at 89 Public Square, Monmouth. The Monmouth Chamber celebrates Monmouth’s historic tradition of creating quality stoneware and pottery which dates back to the 1890s and continues today with Maple City Pottery. Activities at Pottery on the Square include: a pottery and stone ware swap meet, a pottery demonstration, window displays of rare pottery pieces, and a pottery appraisal clinic. The event is a great opportunity for pottery enthusiasts and serious collectors alike to share in Monmouth’s rich history of pottery production! The 2013 pottery piece the Chamber produces is a Two Men in a Crock Mini Butter Churn.

June 22nd

Midwest Bank of Western Illinois will hold a Family Day fundraising event on Saturday June 22nd in Monmouth for the Warren County Relay For Life. There will be a 5K run/walk, a kids race, cookout, petting zoo, bounce house and more. The race begins at 10am and the other activities start at 11. Registration forms are available at all Midwest Bank locations or can register starting at 9am the day of the race.

First Annual Railroad Days Dinner will be held June 22nd in Galesburg. Tickets available now at the Galesburg Railroad Museum, Galesburg Visitors Bureau and the Galesburg Chamber of Commerce. Tickets are $25 each. The dinner is June 22nd at 6:30 pm in the Knox College Lincoln Room. James D. Portfield, author of the latest book, Dining by Rail, will be the main speaker at the dinner. A FREE Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event hosted by the city of Galesburg will take place on Saturday, June 22nd  from 8am - 3pm at the Galesburg High School Parking Lot, 1135 W. Fremont Street.

The Knox Prairie Community Kitchen will be having a Beer & Wine Tasting Fundraiser on Saturday, June 22nd at McGillacuddy's on South Cherry Street in Galesburg. The event starts at 6pm and tickets are $5 in advance or $7 at the door. Tickets can be purchaswed at Daves Autobody or McGillacuddy's. There will be music, appetizers and beer & wine samples from variuos distributors. All proceeds will benefit the Knox Prairie Community Kitchen.
