Here's our Prairie Radio Sports Network Athletes of the Week for the week ending Sept. 27th:

Your Monmouth-Roseville Titan Athlete of the Week is junior football player, Matthew Burris. Matthew Burris had 145 yards rushing on just 12 carries in his team's 49-14 win over Crossroads Academy. He also scored the first two touchdowns of his varsity career. The first was a 20 yard run in the first quarter and the second, a 15 yard burst in the second quarter.

Your United Red Storm Athlete of the Week is junior golfer, Zach Marshall. Zach led the Red Storm in scoring in the United Open at Gibson Woods. He shot an 89 in the tournament. Earlier in the week, Zach was one shot from being the meet medalist in a dual meet against Mid County at Oak Run Golf Course.

Your West Central Heat Athlete of the Week is junior golfer, Nathan Wetzel. Nathan had a great round in the United Open Golf Tournament at Gibson Woods in Monmouth. He carded a 6-over par, 77, which was good enough to put him in third place individually overall, just three strokes from the meet medalist.

Your Tompkins State Bank A-Town Tornado Athlete of the Week is senior volleyball player, Bailee Van Winkle. Bailee has been terrific on defense for the Tornadoes this season. In her team's four matches in the recent Knoxville Tournament, she totaled 42 digs. She's averaging almost 13 digs per contest on the season.

Your Yemm-Chevrolet-Buick-GMC Galesburg Silver Streak Athlete is senior football player, Jacob Ross. Jacob was once again highly efficient with his passes in his team's win over Moline. He completed 12 of his 13 tosses with a touchdown. He also ran for a score as well. Jacob has completed 77% of his throws so far this season.

Congratulations to all of our Athletes of the Week!!
